We’re happy to announce that the awesome folks over at The Last Outpost Star Trek gaming community have been working closely with us to set up a brand new minecraft server! The server is based around a science fiction theme (in contrast to GateQuest’s fantasy setting) and has a nice selection of worlds including a Spacebuild.

It’s currently only open to members of the TLO community, so if you’re interested in checking it out you should apply on their forums.

Happy New Year to all of our community members and visitors! We hope that you’ll have a great 2012 and continue to support us during the coming months. Just as a bonus small teaser, here’s a preview screenshot of one of the brand new worlds we will be adding to our Minecraft server sometime this month – The Shifting Sands!

The official Planetfall minisite is now live! You can access it at now from planetfall.reddawnstudio.com.

The site features detailed information about the game including screenshots, a control list and download links for both the PC version of the game and the official soundtrack.

We are proud to announce to official first release of our new game, Planetfall!

Planetfall is a free, downloadable side-scrolling shooter created by Red Dawn Studio, with music from James Morrell. Download information for the Windows version of the game can be found on the official minisite, a Mac version is currently being developed and will be available fairly soon.

Hey there everyone, it’s been a while since our last update. Don’t worry though, we are still very much alive and working on various projects.

Over the next few days we should be rolling out some new updates to the site, starting with a brand new ‘About Us’ page which should be up and running by the time you read this post.

First we have a brand new header image which will replace the space invader banner we used previously. The new one fits in with the design and colour scheme of the site a lot better and we hope you like it.

Secondly, we have reformed the Inspire Blog project and have started posting regular updates to it. If you need some inspiration for your design projects, are in need of Photoshop resources and tutorials or just want to check out some funky animated videos then you should go check it out now by clicking the ‘Inspire Blog’ link at the top of the page.

Brendan is also continuing work on improving his Wyndham WordPress theme, so expect an update to that in the near future.

Finally, we are now up and running on several social networking sites. You can follow our blog posts on Twitter, chat amongst yourselves at our new Facebook group and subscribe to both the news blog and inspire blog through two separate RSS feeds.
